I’m Building a Niche Blog Live — Here’s How It’s Going

Everything I teach on carolinecocker.com is based on what worked for me when I built my houseplant blog from zero to $3,000 in 16 months.

But that was a few years ago. So I’m doing it again.

I’ve started a brand new niche blog from scratch — following exactly the same process I teach here — and I’m documenting everything on this page. Real numbers, real timelines, updates on what’s working and what isn’t.

I’m keeping the site name off this page for now (I’ll reveal it once it has something worth showing), but I’ll share everything else.

The Numbers

I’m starting with zero — no domain authority, no existing audience, nothing. Here’s the baseline:

What’s Happening This Month

July 2026

The site is live and GSC is connected — so that’s something. Right now it’s just me, a few bots, and a lot of hope. Eight articles are published, impressions are in the single digits, and we’re firmly in the “plant the seeds and walk away” phase.

Next up: writing the next batch of articles and resisting the urge to refresh GSC every twenty minutes.
