So, why the hell would you choose me to help you to go vegan?
Well, for starters, I am a vegan. Have been for a couple of years now. I was a veggie for freakin decades before that.
I’ve seen so many websites that boast pages and pages of recipes, and dozens of others that tell you why you should go vegan.
What about if you have kids. Can kids safely be vegan?
How I make sure I get adequate nutrition as a vegan?
Don’t worry, I can help. I live it every day, and I’m alive and kicking. We won’t be making our own cheese sauce from scratch here (though I can point those of you interested in the right direction), more adding boiling water to bisto and sampling every vegan bechamel that comes on the market.
I like to tread the line between healthy and unhealthy – a smoothie for breakfast, sausage and mash (or chips) for tea, and probably beans on toast for lunch until they release a decent vegan cheese.

I’m Caroline, a vegan writer that lives behind a laptop in a houseplant jungle in North Yorkshire with my boyfriend and herbivorous 10-year-old sidekick, Isobel the bunny. Yes, that is old for a rabbit. She looks (and smells) a bit like an old mop now.
I wanted to go vegan for yonks, but it seemed so inaccessible. I can cook, but it’s not a passion of mine. It takes too long, and I’m always hungry.
Veganism seemed like a pipe dream.
But I did it. And it wasn’t even difficult.
