So, why the hell would you choose me to tell you about being vegan?
Well, for starters, I am a vegan. Have been for a couple of years now. I was a veggie for freakin decadesĀ before that.
I’ve seen so many websites that boast pages and pages of recipes, and dozens of others that tell you why you should go vegan.
But what if you’re too tired to cook? Can you be a vegan if you can’t cook?
What about if you have kids. Can kids safely be vegan?
How I make sure I get adequate nutrition as a vegan?
Don’t worry, I can help. I live it every day, and I’m alive and kicking. We won’t be making our own cheese sauce from scratch here (though I can point those of you interested in the right direction), more adding boiling water to bisto and sampling every vegan bechamel that comes on the market.
I like to tread the line between healthy and unhealthy – a smoothie for breakfast, sausage and mash (or chips) for tea, and probably beans on toast for lunch until they release a decent vegan cheese.

Cool, but who the hell are you?
I’m Caroline, a vegan writer that lives behind a laptop in a houseplant jungle in North Yorkshire with my boyfriend and 100+ plants.
(Interested in my plants? I have a separate planty blog here)
I wanted to go vegan for yonks, but it seemed so inaccessible. I canĀ cook, but it’s not a passion of mine. It takes too long, and I’m always hungry.
Veganism seemed like a pipe dream.
But I did it. And it wasn’t even difficult.
