I wrote this post, not because I thought anyone would be interested, but because A) I’m nosy as hell and LOVE reading other people’s and B) it’s written in my blog post planner and if I don’t write there’ll be a gap and my brain’s not working today so I can’t think of anything else to think about. WELL DONE ME.
So here we go.
7.15am Wake up. Alarm was Taylor Swift’s Enchanted, which I can highly recommend since it starts off v v gentle but has quite the crescendo, but I’m currently experimenting with Wildest Dreams, also by TS. I’m not at all sure I like the change tbh
7.30am (I snoozed, sue me). Coffee (Nescafe Gold Blend with almond milk). I quite like instant coffee, and don’t care who knows it. Put away the dishes whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. I scroll through Bloglovin’ first, then Pinterest then Twitter.
8.00am I do a bit of work on my blog, usually writing up posts in Word, which have been previously scribbled down in my diary. Also a light hoover if I’m feeling fancy.
9.00am scroll through Instagram whilst brushing my teeth, then a shower. I don’t bother with makeup on a morning, I prefer to spend my time on the computer or in the shower. Remember to put on sports bra
9.30am Work. Yaaaay. More coffee and brunch at 11. Usually soya yoghurt, homemade granola and fruit.
2.30pm Run. Have a moment of gratitude towards the me at 9.00 that remembered to put my sports bra on so I literally have to change my trousers, shoes, grab my headphones and go.
3.15pm more blog stuff. Sometimes I pop to see my parents and niece, although sometimes my mum comes to work to see me and we have coffee. There are upsides to working in a restaurant.
4.00pm dinner. Usually Linda McCartney sausages with a big salad.
5.00pm Shower. Makeup this time – I like to spend a good half an hour on it, because it’s fun.
6.00pm work again. Sometimes I eat here instead of at home and can spend more time blogging/sitting on the sofa
10.00pm Bed. I’m v v naughty and watch YouTube at this time, and spend waaay too long on Pinterest. I know it’s not good to watch screens before bed but I’m a wild creature than cannot be tamed.
11.30pm sleep. I’m not the best at getting to sleep, but I don’t really need much so that’s fine. 5 hours or more and I’m fine.
This is a semi-typical day for me, although sometimes I work 9.30-5. Sometimes only 9.30-2 (rarely nowadays though) and usually once a week I work from 9.30 till we finish, which can be as late as 11. Tis the nature of the restaurant business and I don’t mind, since I live so close.
Obviously I don’t always fit in a run or blog – I sometimes accidentally win a pass on Candy Crush where I get unlimited lives for 2 hours and that’s my day. I love it when that happens actually. Sometimes I get sucked into a Youtube vortex, sometimes I end up watching endless repeats of The Middle, because Sue is absolutely everything in the whole world.
My favourite day is working 9-2 (obviously working from home is the dream but hey ho, maybe someday). I finish at 2, go for a run. Blog a bit, make dinner like a good little housewife, have coffee on for when my boyfriend gets home, eat dinner then blog a bit more. I feel like the world is my oyster on those days, but I’m afraid I’m too lazy most of the time.
My ideal work day would consist of getting up at about 8.30, coffee and internet till 10, a bit of light cleaning (or hire a cleaner, that would be nice), run, shower, makeup, blogblogwritenovelblog, make dinner, then pinterest the night away. #goals.
Ooo also a dog, which I could spend a few hours walking/playing with.
Ok, my ideal day would be waking whenever the hell I wanted then doing whatever the hell I wanted and then eating whatever I wanted and not getting fat. Maybe one day *stares wistfully out of the window*
